My PhD dissertation, completed at the Technische Universität Berlin in March 2013, on collective and critical effects in bosonic transport — quantum effects in heat transport at atomic scales. It looks at how higher cumulants of a transport process can reveal collectivity more sensitively than the current itself, and at what happens to bosonic transport through a quantum-critical system such as the quantum Ising chain in a transverse field.
